Real Answers to Real Problems Change Leaders Face
It’s not easy being a change agent. That’s why I’m so excited to announce that BusinessRadioX has invited me to host a 6-show series on their channel to openly discuss change leadership and provide solutions to issues that change agents face. The first show will air on January 20th at 9am, where I’ll talk about the show’s format, guests and topics. As for guests, they will be CEOs of businesses, professional sports teams, professional associations, non-profit organizations, and government leaders who have transformed their organizations. They will talk about the challenges they faced and how they overcame them. Other guests will include executive recruiters talking about what companies are looking for in leaders and what causes leaders to fail. As for the topics, this show will handle the challenges that change agents face from a real life--not theoretical or politically correct—standpoint. They will include:
How to handle the politics and people dynamics of change
How to deal with the loneliness, self-doubt (that itty, bitty, crappy committee that meets periodically in our minds), and external criticism (haters) that change leaders face
How to bounce back and up from setbacks and setups
How to become more influential within the organization
How to deal with an unsupportive and bad boss
How to deal with manipulative and conniving coworkers
How to know when it is time to leave
The show resulted from an interview with BusinessRadioX about my book,Mastering the Challenges of Leading Change. Our discussion revealed an interest in this subject that currently is not being met on the airwaves; there is no forum that takes on the professional and personal challenges of leading change that gives leaders real answers to the real problems they are facing. As a result, leaders often try to figure it out for themselves or turn to high-priced consultants—both of which have proven to be unsuccessful. This is highlighted by a 2015 McKinsey survey indicating that over 75% of change initiatives, especially transformational ones, fail.
Listeners will be able to call in, text, and post on social media their questions and also give their opinions. The show will air twice per month, with online streaming and podcasts available. In addition, you will be able to download shows if your schedule doesn’t permit you to listen to them live. (You can also send questions and comments after the show.) To find out the schedule, submit a request to be a guest, or submit a comment, go to www.jdallasassociates.com, where you can also learn about my book, which explains my personal approach to managing change and the result of my 30 years’ experience in the field. The schedule will also be available on BusinessRadioX.com.
I’m looking forward to you joining me for the first and all of the shows. You can follow me on Twitter, Facebook, as well as on LinkedIn and don’t forget to use the hashtag #ChangeMaster to connect with me and share your thoughts and questions.
